Whereas, the South Carolina House of Representatives was deeply saddened to learn of the passing of John Claud Poore of Belton on January 3, 2021, at the age of sixty-seven; and

Whereas, the son of the late Charles Edward "Ed" and Louise Barr Poore, John was a graduate of Erskine College and was retired from JTEKT Koyo in Greenville; and

Whereas, this man of faith served God as a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon, Sunday School teacher, and choir member; and

Whereas, in addition, he gave his full support to the mission of Gideons International and served as a member of this worthy organization's Belton Camp branch; and

Whereas, he was also an accomplished member of the Masons; and
