A HOUSE RESOLUTION

TO THANK SAVANNAH TAPLER FOR HER DEDICATED SERVICE AS A BLOOD DRIVE COORDINATOR FOR THE AMERICAN RED CROSS; TO CONGRATULATE HER ON COORDINATING HER ONE HUNDREDTH BLOOD DRIVE; AND TO ENCOURAGE INDIVIDUALS, FAMILIES, AND BUSINESSES IN THE PALMETTO STATE TO LEARN MORE ABOUT THE GREAT NEED FOR, AND BENEFIT OF, DONATING BLOOD.

Whereas, Savannah Tapler has coordinated her one hundredth blood drive for the American Red Cross and Lexington Medical Center, helping lead the collection of nearly six thousand units of blood; and

Whereas, donating blood helps save countless lives across the Palmetto State and around the country; and

Whereas, Savannah Tapler has played an integral part in supporting a healthy blood supply throughout South Carolina; and

Whereas, the Red Cross furnishes almost half of the nation's blood supply, teaches lifesaving skills, provides international humanitarian aid, supports military members and their families, and assists victims of disaster. Now therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives, by this resolution, thank Savannah Tapler for her dedicated service as a blood drive coordinator for the American Red Cross; congratulate her on coordinating her one hundredth blood drive; and encourage individuals, families, and businesses in the Palmetto State to learn more about the great need for, and benefit of, donating blood.
