A HOUSE RESOLUTION

TO COMMEND LA CHALUPA MEXICAN RESTAURANT AND OWNER FRANCISCO ESCAMILLA FOR A QUARTER-CENTURY OF SERVICE TO LANCASTER COUNTY AND TO EXTEND WARMEST CONGRATULATIONS ON THE OCCASION OF LA CHALUPA'S TWENTY-FIFTH ANNIVERSARY.

Whereas, the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives are pleased to learn that La Chalupa Mexican Restaurant, led by owner Francisco "Paco" Escamilla, is celebrating twenty-five years of exceptional food and service in Lancaster County and is set to continue its proud legacy; and

Whereas, on December 4, 1996, Paco opened La Chalupa in Lancaster, and it has since become a landmark in the Lancaster community; and

Whereas, the only Mexican buffet restaurant in Lancaster County, La Chalupa has expanded its building over the years to become one of the largest restaurants in the county; and

Whereas, in addition to enhancing the community with his delectable food, Paco has dedicated himself to strengthening Lancaster County by employing hundreds of its citizens; and

Whereas, the South Carolina House is grateful for the years that Francisco "Paco" Escamilla and La Chalupa have dedicated to providing delicious meals for the Lancaster community, and the members offer best wishes for much continued success in the years to come. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives, by this resolution, commend La Chalupa Mexican Restaurant and owner Francisco Escamilla for a quarter-century of service to Lancaster County and extend warmest congratulations on the occasion of La Chalupa's twenty-fifth anniversary.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Francisco Escamilla.
