A BILL

TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, TO ENACT "OWEN'S LAW" BY REPEALING SECTION 15-32-220 RELATING TO NONECONOMIC DAMAGE LIMITS IN MEDICAL MALPRACTICE CASES.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION    1.    This act may be known and cited as "Owen's Law".

SECTION    2.    Section 15-32-220 of the 1976 Code is repealed.

SECTION    3.    This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
