TO AUTHORIZE THE MARION COUNTY COUNCIL TO POSTPONE FOR ONE ADDITIONAL YEAR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF ITS COUNTYWIDE PROPERTY TAX EQUALIZATION AND REASSESSMENT PROGRAM FOR THE 2023 TAX YEAR.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding the provisions contained in Section 12-43-217, the Marion County Council may, by ordinance, postpone for one additional year the implementation of its countywide property tax equalization and reassessment program for the 2023 tax year.
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
