REGULAR SESSION BEGINNING TUESDAY, JANUARY 12, 2021
The House assembled at 10:00 a.m.
Deliberations were opened with prayer by Rev. Charles E. Seastrunk, Jr., as follows:
Our thought for today is from Luke 22:26: "The greatest among you must become like one who serves."
Let us pray. Bless are You, O Lord God, ruler of heaven and earth. Day by day You shower us with Your blessings. As You have raised us to new life, give us glad and generous hearts that are ready to praise You and to respond to those in need. Be with our defenders of freedom and first responders as they care for us. Let Your light shine on our World, Nation, President, State, Governor, Speaker, staff, and all who labor in these Halls of Government. Grant these people a safe and restful weekend. Heal the wounds, those seen and those hidden, of our brave men and women who suffer and sacrifice for our freedom. Lord, in Your Mercy, hear our prayers. Amen.
