A SENATE RESOLUTION

TO RECOGNIZE MARCH 8, 2022 AS "4-H DAY" IN SOUTH CAROLINA AND TO COMMEND THE 4-H MEMBERS, ALUMNI, AND LEADERSHIP FOR THEIR ACCOMPLISHMENTS AND THEIR SERVICE TO THE PEOPLE AND THE STATE OF SOUTH CAROLINA.

Whereas, the 4-H pledge reads: I pledge my head to clearer thinking, my heart to greater loyalty, my hands to larger service, and my health to better living, for my club, my community, my country, and my world; and

Whereas, the South Carolina 4-H program has over forty-six thousand members involved in the five program areas: Agriculture and Animals, Healthy Lifestyles, Leadership and Citizenship, Natural Resources, and Science, Engineering and Technology; and

Whereas, 4-H members and alumni of the 4-H program consistently demonstrate the competencies important to their immediate and future success. They are active and vibrant servants in their communities throughout South Carolina. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate:

That the members of the South Carolina Senate, by this resolution, recognize March 8, 2022 as "4-H Day" in South Carolina and commend the 4-H members, alumni, and leadership for their accomplishments and their service to the people and the State of South Carolina.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to the Clemson University Cooperative Extension.
