Transparency and Integrity in Education Act

Reps. McDaniel and Rivers propose the following amendment (LC-3728.HDB0073H):

Amend the bill, as and if amended, SECTION 2, Section 59-29-620, by adding a subsection to read:

(F)Matters specifically encompassed within subsection (D)(3) and exempt from the complaint process outlined in Section 59-29-630 include instruction that "The 13 th, 14th, and 15th Amendments were passed to protect civil rights of former slaves by granting them citizenship and a right to vote, although these amendments did not provide fair and equal treatment of African Americans."
