Rep. JONES proposes the following amendment (LC-62.WAB0023H):
Amend the bill, as and if amended, SECTION 9, Section 59-8-150, by adding a subsection to read:
(I) In addition to the other requirements of this section, an education service provider that is a private school shall comply with all federal Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) requirements, including the provision of special education services, individualized education plans (IEPs), and due process protections identical to those required of public schools.Renumber sections to conform.
