Rep. SCOTT proposes the following amendment (LC-4764.WAB0004H):
Amend the bill, as and if amended, SECTION 1, Section 23-1-260, by adding a subsection to read:
(K) A law enforcement officer acting in good faith under an agreement pursuant to subsection (B) may not conduct immigration enforcement actions within one thousand feet of any place of worship, school, hospital, or licensed childcare facility, except where a valid, independent criminal warrant has been issued for a specific individual at that location.Renumber sections to conform.
