Rep. JONES proposes the following amendment (LC-5683.SA0023H):

Amend the bill, as and if amended, by adding an appropriately numbered SECTION to read:

SECTION X. Chapter 19, Title 7 of the S.C. Code is amended by adding:

 Section 7-19-130. (A) During any Congressional redistricting, the General Assembly is required to release a public report that analyzes:
  (1) minority voting strength impacts;
  (2) historical representation implications;
  (3) racial bloc voting effects; and
  (4) comparative district demographic changes.
 (B) The report must be completed publicly and be available to the public before the final adoption of any redistricting maps.
