Senators Hutto, Jackson, Sabb, Williams, Allen, Matthews, Tedder, Devine, Graham, Ott, Sutton, and Walker propose the following amendment (LC-5683.AHB0082S):

Amend the bill, as and if amended, by adding an appropriately numbered SECTION to read:

SECTION X. In conducting the 2026 Congressional redistricting, notwithstanding any other provision of law, the General Assembly shall ensure that any implementation of revised congressional district boundaries does not impair the State's ability to comply with applicable federal absentee voting requirements, including those governing the timely transmission of ballots to military and overseas voters.
