Ways and Means Committee
Message from Chairman
Bruce W. Bannister
District 24, Greenville County
As the chairman of the Ways and Means Committee of the South Carolina House of Representatives, I welcome you to our homepage.

The committee’s primary responsibilities are writing the state’s annual budget and crafting state tax and fiscal policy. The twenty-five committee members work throughout the year to ensure that taxes remain low, tax dollars are spent wisely, state agencies run efficiently, and the state has the policies that allow for continued economic growth and prosperity for our people.

We believe in transparency, and we welcome your input and engagement. On this page you will find information about our subcommittees, schedules, streaming and archived links of our meetings, and details about budget and legislation.

Thank you for your interest in our work
